Most anyone who has listened to sports talk radio in Cleveland is familiar with Hiram. I know him on Twitter now too and decided I wanted to talk to him a little bit about what drives him to call so much. How he arrives at his thoughts on the Browns and why he can be so aggressive attacking local hosts. After following him for a while I find him to be a different kind of thinker, but he insists on packaging himself in such a way that he ends up being abrasive. So, how would Hiram come across in a more long-form conversation? You’ll have to listen to find out. How many times do you watch each Browns game? What drives your mostly negative opinion of the Cleveland media? Do you want to be like Trivisonno and end up going from caller to radio show host? Tom Heckert and where he ranks among the drafters over the last few years Pat Shurmur, his inevitable future and what the perfect outcome would be Joe Banner: Will he really be making the football decisions? What’s Hiram’s local sports talk radio power rankings? Is Brandon Weeden criticism fair? Should the Browns consider a replacement? Listen at Stitcher —————- Subscribe on iTunes

Thaddeus Lewis taking first-team reps for Browns

Taddeus Lewis could go from playing with the practice squad to starting in an NFL game in just a week’s time. With shoulder injuries being sustained by both Brandon Weeden and Colt McCoy, it was the recently added Lewis who is taking first-team snaps during practice heading into the Browns’ Week 17 tilt against the Pittsburgh Steelers. On Christmas Eve, the Browns announced...

Cleveland Browns Offensive Woes Not From Lack Of Talent

The Browns will finish off the 2012 season against the Steelers this Sunday in Pittsburgh.  After the game ends, we will not have to wait long to see Pat Shurmur fired.  Tom Heckert should follow him out the door shortly after.  And with that, the Haslam and Banner era of Cleveland Browns football will begin.Rumors are already running wild about how the Browns will hire as their...

The Quicker The Browns Get Rid Of Pat Shurmur The Better Off The Team Will Be

The Cleveland Browns travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers in what could very well be Pat Shurmur’s last game as the Cleveland Browns head Coach, we all hope. Shurmur as an offensive play caller in the NFL has failed miserably.  In the past four seasons Shurmur called plays that lead him to 18 wins and 46 losses, this includes his 2 years as the offensive coordinator with...

Change almost a certainty for Browns

The season is about to end for the Browns, and usually that means change is next. Two weeks ago, Cleveland still had a chance to make the playoffs. But two straight lopsided losses and a slew of injuries have placed the Browns in a familiar predicament as they prepare for Sunday's season finale at Pittsburgh. Coach Pat Shurmur is likely to be replaced next week, and new owner...

Browns vs. Steelers Reader’s Survey

It’s going to be the toughest game to predict all year in all likelihood. The Browns and Steelers don’t have anything to play for but pride and paychecks. The teams are a mystery right now at least on the Browns’ side of the equation as Brandon Weeden, Trent Richardson and even Colt McCoy are questionable at best and out in all probability. It could be the last game as a member...

NFL News: Weeden, Richardson and Brown listed as “out” for Sunday

Cleveland Browns cornerback Sheldon Brown’s streak of consecutive games played will end at 175 and he will miss the team’s Week 17 barn-burner against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Brown suffered a concussion midway through the Browns’ Week 16 loss to the Denver Broncos when wide receiver Brandon Stokley lowered a shoulder into him on a pick play to free up Demaryius Thomas on...

“Zero” percent chance Trent Richardson plays this week

According to Tony Grossi of ESPNCleveland.com, there’s a “zero” percent chance that running back Trent Richardson will in Sunday’s season finale against the Steelers. Richardson has had a monster rookie season that he’ll be able to build off of heading into next season. Weeden, McCoy still sidelined for Browns

Browns quarterbacks Brandon Weeden and Colt McCoy are not practicing again because of shoulder injuries. Coach Pat Shurmur said both remain sidelined as Cleveland prepares for Sunday's season finale against Pittsburgh. Weeden and McCoy were hurt last week against Denver. Third-stringer Thad Lewis took all the snaps with the Browns' first-team offense in practice on Wednesday...

Lewis likely to start at QB for Browns

BEREA, Ohio (AP) -- Injured Browns quarterbacks Brandon Weeden and Colt McCoy are not practicing, making it almost certain that third-stringer Thad Lewis will start the season finale at Pittsburgh. Both Weeden and McCoy injured their right shoulders last week at Denver. They have not practiced this week. Lewis took all the snaps with the first-team offense during the portion of Friday...

Report: Lewis to start at QB for Browns

All indications are that Thad Lewis will make his first NFL start on Sunday for the Cleveland Browns and running back Trent Richardson likely will miss the game against Pittsburgh. Starting quarterback Brandon Weeden and backup Colt McCoy sat out practice Friday for the third consecutive day because of shoulder injuries. Richardson also was sidelined with a sprained left ankle...

Browns fans are very familiar with ugly season-ending games

So who is the backup for the backup? As Scott told us today, Thad Lewis, recently called up from the practice squad, got the first team reps today in Berea. That’s right. Not Brandon Weeden with a bum shoulder. Not Colt McCoy, also with a bum shoulder. Thaddeus Lewis. Just a reminder, Lewis is a 25-year-old from Duke with a much-heralded arm and some decent athletic ability. He’s...

Rookie QB Thad Lewis could start for Cleveland Browns vs Steelers

On Wednesday, the Cleveland Browns signed QB Josh Johnson to their roster but rookie QB Thad Lewis could get the start this week when the Cleveland Browns play their season finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The moves by the Browns were made necessary with Brandon Weeden and Colt McCoy both nursing shoulder injuries sustained last Sunday against the Denver Broncos. Neither quarterback...

The Terrible Podcast – Talking Browns Game, Coaches, Free Agents & Weekly Picks Episode

Season 3, Episode 61 of The Terrible Podcast is up and co-host David Todd and I talk about the recent roster moves made by the Pittsburgh Steelers as they head into their season finale against the Cleveland Browns. There might be a few new names on the inactive list this week so we try to sort through it the best that we can after going over the injury reports for both teams. ...
