After a report came out this week that the Atlanta Falcons are ranked fairly low in terms of fan loyalty and support, the organization is especially interested in the potentiality of a Super Bowl Championship this season to promote greater interest in the team after two years of high expectations and only one playoff victory to boast. Pro Bowl tight end Tony Gonzalez told is rejoining his Atlanta Falcons teammates at training camp Saturday.
After spending the first three days of camp with the team, Gonzalez left the team to return home.
"It's time for me to get back there," Gonzalez said. "I need to get some work with (quarterback) Matt (Ryan) and the offense. I'm excited."
After a shaky showing the previous week, the Falcons first and second team units responded in a big way against the Ravens. The Falcons had a 23-7 lead when the third stringers came in. However, the third stringers couldn’t hold up that lead for a quarter against the more talented and connected Ravens second unit who came back to win the game 27-23.
