One of the most high-profile offseason questions facing the Patriots involves a player who isn’t a starter. Brian Hoyer, the backup quarterback and security blanket behind Tom Brady, is a restricted free agent. With touted prospect Ryan Mallett waiting behind him, there is intrigue.

Fire Belichick and Trade Tom Brady!
He makes some great points.
It really is crazy how the Patriots only use one quarterback and never use their back ups. What is Belichick doing? And the “one cent” system definitely doesn’t work all the time.
I agree, if only we put “Altachinko”...

Super Bowl XLVI has been over for a while, but that doesn’t mean the coverage from it is. In fact, we were able to save a few things from the week for when the madness died down. Examining the Patriots situation at center and wondering where they go from here…
In today’s Boston Herald, I took a look at the Patriots center position, a spot on the offensive line that has been rock solid since 2003. Dan Koppen has been the starter, QB Tom Brady’s best bud and sidekick.
Now, as Koppen told me yesterday, “Things are not as concrete as they have been in years past in the offseason, so we’re open to whatever opportunities...

When Jeremy Lin first popped up on the national scene about two weeks ago, no one knew who he was or where he had gone to college. Today, Lin has become something of a folk hero nationwide and has garnered unbelievable praise for his sudden rise to stardom with the New York Knicks. Lin's rise has definitely brought on comparisons to other rags-to-riches type sports stories, but...
