It’s a common trend for college coaches that go to the NFL to try to bring as much with them. Some have success; however, most don’t do to so good. For every Pete Carroll, there is a Steve Spurrier, for every Jimmy Johnson, there is a Nick Saban. Carroll had previous NFL experience; Johnson was given the greatest heist in trade history when he inherited a gold mine for Herschel Walker. Johnson brought in players from the University of Miami, but they were good players and they are the exception. The list is long of coaches who try to make it work with ‘their guys’ and fail miserably. Chip Kelly said though he knows the Oregon players well, but can he be objective evaluating them against other team’s players? "I would think it would be an advantage, because we know them," Kelly said, via Zach Berman of Philly.com. "I can tell you what they're like on the field, I can tell you what they're like off the field, I can tell you what they're like in the meeting room." Berman writes: ‘It might not be a problem if Kelly brings the players he wants to Philadelphia. Jimmy Johnson was not shy about adding top Miami players when he went to the Dallas Cowboys, and that helped him win two Super Bowls. The key will be making objective evaluations, which Kelly said won't be a challenge.’           var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});
