Marcedes Lewis is coming off the best season of his NFL career. Most Jaguars players made an appearance at EverBank Field on Tuesday as the team facilities were opened up for the first time since the lockout began in March, however Jaguars tight end Marcedes Lewis was noticeably absent. Tania Ganguli of The Florida Times-Union is reporting that as of Tuesday afternoon Lewis remained in Southern California where he has spent the entire off season working out. While showing up on Tuesday was voluntary for the Jaguars players, they are scheduled to open up camp on Wednesday and all players are expected to report.  The fact that Lewis remains back at home suggests that he may be a no-show for the beginning of training camp as he waits to work out a new long-term contract with the Jaguars.
