Dallas Cowboys And The NFL:
IRVING - Roy Williams said Wednesday he's still the team's No. 1 receiver and laid the blame for his lack of production squarely at the feet of quarterback Tony Romo.
Asked how he could call himself the No. 1 after all Miles Austin has done the last three games, Williams said, "Miles gets the ball thrown correctly (to him). I'm stretching and falling and doing everything...It's frustrating. It makes me look like (expletive)...We're not even close."
Make no mistake. Williams didn't rip Romo, who didn't speak to reporters Wednesday. The former Texas star is just wondering out loud why they can't connect after months of trying to get on the same page.
