The Cincinnati Bengals take on the Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday, with a win and a Baltimore loss the Bengals could find the top of the AFC North. Cincinnati would also have the best record inside the division and could find themselves in the hunt for a super bowl appearance. The Bengals were able to turn things around this season after the team was on a losing streak. Andy Dalton has to come out Sunday and play a mistake prof game. If he can limit the turn-over and keep Roethlisberger on the sidelines the Bengals could have a chance at a win. It isn’t going to be easy, the Steelers defense knows what is at stake in the game and I would expect them to be coming after Dalton. The Bengals have to dig deep and find a way to protect Dalton giving him time to find his receivers down field. If the Bengals can do that the team could put some pressure on the Steelers. With an 8-6 record and the Ravens facing a New York Giants team that needs a win to stay on top of the NFC East, I would expect the Giants to win. With a Bengals win they could find a share of the lead in the AFC North. The team is going to be facing a hungry Steelers team that is looking for a way to keep their play-off hopes alive. This is going to be a tough game for Cincinnati and the Bengals are going to have to lay it all on the line. Going into Pittsburgh is never easy, going in Pittsburgh looking to eliminate the Steelers chances of a play off spot makes this game that much tougher for the Bengals. This should be a good game.

Tomlin says Big Ben's comments was just frustration

Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin believes Ben Roethlisberger's post-game comments about offensive coordinator Todd Haley were all out of frustration, and said Roethlisberger is "on board with what we're doing."    "That was a tough, hard-fought football game, an emotional one, and. when you come up short, there are frustrations associated with that...

Steelers Need A Better Defensive Performance From Their Offense In Order To Make Playoffs

It is no secret that the Pittsburgh Steelers defense has struggled for a second consecutive season at getting turnovers and sacks. Those of course are two pretty big elements in winning football games, but outside of those glaring deficiencies the unit has not been awful. Through the first 14 games of the 2012 regular season the Steelers defense ranks first in yards allowed per...

Benstonium's 'A Charlie Batch Christmas'

Thanks to Benson for sending this over. I may be partial to Mr. Magoo's A Christmas Carol in terms of animated yuletide specials, but Charlie Batch having anything to do with Christmas wins Christmas. Hopefully this season turns out less depressing than the typical Charlie Brown life scenario. Video below: Here we go.

Bengals 3.5-point Dogs In Playoff ‘Play-In’ Game

If we were doing the “confidence points” thing that is popular in college bowl pools – from 1-10 with 10 being the most confident I could possibly be about the Bengals beating the Steelers in Pittsburgh this Sunday … I would go with a 3.5. I don’t think it’s some insurmountable challenge – the 2012 Steelers are just not very good – but they’ll probably use their...
