Texans Gab:
With the last overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans selected this year’s Mr. Irrelevant: University of Rice linebacker Cheta Ozougwu. Ozougwu (6’2″, 247 lbs) was a defensive end in college but is set for a 3-4 linebacker transition. A “character” player who NFL.com does not project to be in the Texans starting lineup, the Texans have always enjoyed finding linebackers in late rounds (see Zach Diles, Xavier Adibi). We’ll see what Mr. Irrelevant provides the special teams in 2011.
