San Diego Chargers Re-sign QB Billy Volek to Two-Year Deal
Quarterback Billy Volek has spent the last five seasons with the San Diego Chargers as the backup to Philip Rivers–even though the team has never really needed to use him. Over the weekend, the Chargers made sure Volek will be around just in case anything were to happen to Rivers during the 2011 season.

Backup QB Volek staying with Chargers
Veteran quarterback Billy Volek is remaining with the San Diego Chargers, signing a two-year contract Saturday.
Volek has spent the past five seasons with San Diego as the backup to Philip Rivers. He also played four seasons with Tennessee.
The 35-year-old Volek has thrown for 27 touchdowns and 15 interceptions in 37 career games.
