No one should feel that life has been particularly unfair to Caleb Campbell, who twice has had NFL aspirations pulled from under him.
Although it's kind of like Lucy predictably moving the football as Charlie Brown takes a running start and approaches the kick, the Detroit Lions' linebacker certainly does not feel sorry for himself.

Former Army Star Still Chasing NFL Dream
Caleb Campbell was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the seventh round of the 2008 draft and made his NFL debut in 2010. He’ll be 27 in September, and while other West Point peers have gone a different direction, Campbell believes the lockout has leveled the playing field for a hard worker trying to prove he’s a cadet no more.

Caleb Campbell decorates LB room for holidays
Caleb Campbell isn't technically a rookie, but as the Lions' least experienced linebacker, he sometimes gets treated like one.
This week, for instance, Campbell was assigned to decorate the linebacker room at the practice facility with Christmas trimmings.
He hung blue stockings with each of his position mates' names on them and strung lights around the room Tuesday...
