Cadillac Williams a big piece of Bucs' backfield picture
Running back Cadillac Williams lost his starting tailback job in 2010 to rookie LeGarrette Blount, a development that might suggest Williams -- at 28-years old -- is expendable.
But the way Williams finished the season actually suggests something totally different.
Williams gave the Bucs' offense a dimension it hasn't often had, providing Tampa Bay with a legitimate third...

Cadillac Williams accepts his third down role
Running back Cadillac Williams has accepted his role as the Bucs tailback on third down and during the two-minute offense.
The emergence of rookie LeGarrette Blount, who rushed 19 times for 91 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-16 win over Carolina has pushed Williams into the shadows, although he has started all nine games this season.

Bucs facing dilemma with RB Cadillac Williams
The Bucs are at a crossroads with Cadillac Williams. He has been ineffective as the starting tailback, rushing 76 times for 190 yards, a 2.5 yard average. But coaches trust him to protect franchise quarterback Josh Freeman, who has been blitzed repeatedly during the first five games this season.

Opponents were going to stack the box against Josh Freeman to force the young quarterback to win games for the Buccaneers. Which means Cadillac Williams was going to be the priority-one item on the Stop-That-Guy list every Sunday this season. He had to know it.
