The 49ers have released 32-year old QB David Carr. Carr played in 1 game (0 starts) for the Niners last year and he completed 5 of 13 (38.5%) passes for 67 yards with 0 TD passes and 1 INT (23.6 QB Rating). 49ers will release QB Carr
The San Francisco 49ers plan to release quarterback David Carr on Thursday.
CSN Bay Area reported the planned roster move of Carr, which will save the 49ers $2.375 million in salary cap room.
On Tuesday, the 49ers re-signed quarterback Alex Smith. They also selected quarterback Colin Kaepernick in the 2011 draft.
