Hixon returns to where 2010 ended early

If Domenik Hixon is going to play for the Giants this season, he can't avoid this any longer. The wide receiver has not stepped on the turf at New Meadowlands Stadium since June 2010, when his knee buckled while fielding a minicamp punt and he tore his ACL. Monday night, for the first time since that season-ending injury, Hixon will return to, as he called it, "the scene...

New York Giants Domenik Hixon Signs One-Year Contract

The New York Giants suffered a multitude of injuries at the wide receiver position last year, and it started with Domenik Hixon tearing his ACL in the off season and missed the entire 2010 season. He’s apparently signed a deal that takes him off the market as well as gives the Giants a much better option in the return game, which was a huge issue for them this past year. They...

Healthy Hixon Eyeing Big Return

If you watched the Giants this season, you know there was a lot there but there was also a lot missing. Domenik Hixon One of the most glaring aspects gone missing was the play of the team’s everyman, WR Domenik Hixon, who held four different jobs. When Hixon went down in June with a knee injury, the first victim of the New Meadowlands’ pristine artificial surface, the...

Hixon Clears Waivers, Placed On IR

Updating an earlier post on the Giants dropping Domenik Hixon, Hixon cleared waivers and was put on the Injured Reserve list by the team. The Giants could have put Hixon directly on Injured Reserve, but his salary would have been counted against the team’s training camp salary. By letting him pass through waivers, his salary is now off the the Giants cap but remains property of the team.
