Buzz: Strickland will Stay
Like much of the news this weekend, this is unconfirmed, but according to Manish Mehta, the Jets will hold on to Donald Strickland going into 2011:

Smart money’s on Strickland making plays

Jets Cut Thomas Jones and Donald Strickland
The Jets have released CB Donald Strickland and RB Thomas Jones officially.
Both players were an inevitability today, and we’ve known about it for a while. While I liked Strickland’s play at times, his inability to stay healthy was tough for the team to justify keeping him around.
A lot has been made of Thomas Jones, but [...]

Injury updates and Notes
CB Donald Strickland suffered a concussion Sunday and it out indefinitely.
CB Dwight Lowery is listed as doubtful from an upper ankle sprain he suffered during a kickoff return Sunday. Obviously the loss of Leon Washington is hurting the Jets big time.

Sheppard, Strickland are "iffy"
Don't expect to see nickel back Donald Strickland (ankle) Sunday against the Saints. Strickland missed practice again today and looks like a real long shot to play in the battle of the unbeatens.
Rex Ryan said Strickland and CB Lito Sheppard (quad) are "iffy," although it's believed that Sheppard is closer than Strickland. Sheppard also sat out. It's hard...

Jets' CB Strickland picks his spots to hit
Donald Strickland was down on himself and needed to reassess things. His career path had become cluttered with dead ends, mostly because he simply wasn't able to stay on the field consistently.Strickland wasn't far removed from being one of the Colts' starting cornerbacks in the 2004 AFC Championship Game, no small feat since he was a rookie and wasn't even active for the season...
