Seahawks Looking For More From WR Isaiah Stanback in 2011

Pro Football Weekly hears that the Seahawks are looking forward to getting a lot more production next season from WR Isaiah Stanback, who was re-signed earlier this week along with fellow free agent Roy Lewis. “They really like his versatility,” one team source told PFW at the Combine. “He can return kicks, get involved in the Wildcat and play receiver. He’...

Isaiah Stanback out for the season with torn Achilles

Photo credit: Seattle Times - John Lok Isaiah Stanback's hard luck in the NFL continues. The former Washington Huskies and Garfield High standout, who was hoping to land with the Seahawks, suffered a season-ending left Achilles injury early in the afternoon practice. Drafted in the fourth round by Dallas in 2007, the 6-2, 208-pound receiver played two seasons with the Cowboys...

WR Isaiah Stanback Injured

According to multiple media attendees at the Seahawks practice facility, WR Isaiah Stanback suffered torn Achilles tendon at beginning of practice and is likely done for the season. This is sad news for sure. He was a local talent trying to make a nice comeback. Expect the Seahawks to sign another WR or simply use Stanback's roster spot for LB Bowen that was signed earlier today.

It’s All Good – Stanback Out, Ogletree In

I have been saying all pre-season long, that Isaiah Stanback should not be on this team. With all of his injuries throughout his career with the Cowboys, I couldn’t understand why he was still here. Well, on Saturday the Cowboys finally realized what we were all thinking, and finally cut Stanback to trim the roster to 52 [...]

Goodbye, Isaiah Stanback

Isaiah Stanback was finally released by the Dallas Cowboys. Call it unbelievable, but I cannot recall a player given so much time and so many chances to perform. Stanback wasn’t highly touted out of college. He was selected in the fourth round, after an average career with the Washington Huskies. His speed was attractive. He came [...]

Stanback to be cut in favor of Ogletree

Looks like Isaiah Stanback will be given his walking paper after the game against Minnesota. I’m being told that the Cowboys really like undrafted rookie free agent, Kevin Olgetree. In addition to this, Ogletree seems to be further along than where Hurd and Austin were their rookie years. Look for Olgetree to be the #5 [...]

Is Kevin Ogletree a Lock to Make the Final Roster?

On the surface the answer is easy based on his recent preseason performances. Based on his play at receiver the answer is an easy and resounding yes. But if you dig deeper you have to take other things into account when determining the final 53 man roster. When you really think about it, it seems that Isaiah Stanback still has a chance even if his play at the receiver position has...

Do You Think Isaiah Stanback Can Stay Healthy?

I've finally reached my breaking point with Stanback.  I have always hoped he could turn his tremendous athletic ability into production on the field for the Cowboys.  But it seems like he will eternally be teasing us with potential only to disappoint us with yet another injury.  The latest injury, a hamstring strain, is said to be very minor but it is just another on what...
