New Orleans Player News Update: DE Jeff Charleston is Back with Saints!
The New Orleans Saints have apparently come to terms with another of their own free agents this offseason in DE Jeff Charleston 97 as he was just spotted on the practice field at Saints camp.
According to Kevin Spain of the Times-Picayune via Twitter just now, it appears that DE Curtis Johnson was possibly released to make room for Charleston on the roster.

DE Jeff Charleston Re-sign With Saints
DE Jeff Charleston wasn’t getting much attention out on the NFL free agent market. That is why the back-up DE decided to re-sign with the Saints with their earlier tender of a 1-year, $1.011 million contract.
Charleston becomes the first Saints free agent to re-sign with the team for this upcoming season.

Backup defensive end Jeff Charleston signed his one year 1.1M dollar tender off with the Saints today which is the lowest possible tender offer a team can make.
Charleston,27, entered the NFL as undrafted rookie free agent with the Texans in May of 2006 but was released shortly there after in September.
