Jeff Reed Back In Pittsburgh, Friend Leaves Penguins Game On Flat Board
Former Steelers kicker Jeff Reed was back in Pittsburgh Friday and spotted down at the Steelers facility visiting a few of his former teammates earlier in the day. Gerry Dulac reported this afternoon that Reed was not in for a workout. That is not where the Reed news ends today however as Reed went to the Penguins hockey game tonight and reportedly ended up having to leave early...

Former K Jeff Reed clears waivers
Former Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Jeff Reed cleared waivers yesterday and his agent is reporting that Reed has received offers from two teams. If any team had claimed Reed off the waiver wire, that team would have been responsible for the 1.16 million remaining on his contract from the Steelers.The Steelers are now obligated to pay the remainder of his salary for the 2010 season...

No one wants Jeff Reed – at least for the money he’s owed
Now former Steelers kicker Jeff Reed cleared waivers today, meaning he’s free to go to any team that inks him. The kicker (no pun intended) is the fact that Reed was owed over $1 mil of his $2.8 mil salary.
