Time to step up, Chris Henry

The Titans' decision to draft a fellow Chris (Chris Johnson) in the first round a few weeks ago should have been a message heard loud and clear by Chris Henry.Despite being a second round draft selection in 2007, Henry is going to have his work cut out for him as he attempts to become a part of the   more...

Philadelphia Eagles - the team to beat in the NFC East?

I admit that I have been critical of the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason. After an 8-8 season, I had high hopes for improvements and enhancements at several key positions. The fact of the matter is that the Eagles were the worst team in the division last season. However, the more I look at the   more...

History repeats itself: Titans draft another DE duo

In 2008, the Titans, like 2004, are heading into the season as a playoff team from the previous year and as a result of the free agency departures of Antwan Odom and Travis LaBoy, they are yet again faced with the task of replenishing the defensive line. By drafting Jason Jones and William "Big   more...

Kearse officially cut by Eagles

It's official: NFL Network reports that Jevon Kearse will be released, ending his stay in Philadelphia and its salary cap. It appears the Eagles are preparing to be very active in free agency. Asante Samuel may be a very real possibility. Lito getting plays off? Sheldon at safety? These all seem   more...

Kearse And Howard Trade Package

Jevon Kearse and Darren Howard combined for alot of salary and practicly no production in 2006 and 2007. I would be happy if the 2 combined for a 5 round pick in 2008. There are plenty of teams that are thin on the defensive line and could use 2 veteran's. I suspect Miami and Tampa Bay could   more...

Memo to Castro and Titans: Just Do It!

Cole Wants To Play At Lighter Weight

Trent Cole says he's going to play at a lighter weight this upcoming season. Coles says his speed is the key to his performance so he feels he could be even better at five to ten pounds lighter. That's fine as long as he doesn't decide to got down to 230 like Jevon Kearse did last year. Cole was   more...

What Cutting Kearse Means

The Eagles are usually way under the cap so cutting a veteran to gain $2.5 million under the cap can only mean they are trying to free up every penny they can. I can only speculate about the reasons. It may be a good sign of an aggressive off-season.
