Frank Gore moved into seventh place on the Niners' all-time rushing yards list on Sunday, but he'll be in fifth at season's end if he has his way. Gore, whose 130 yards against the Lions put him at 3,692 career rushing yards, is now ahead of Kevan Barlow (3,614) and behind Hugh McElhenny (4,288). Digging for Gold

Frank Gore needs 966 yards on the ground to move from No. 9 to No. 5 (behind Garrison Hearst) on the 49ers all-time rushing yards list. Gore currently has 3,405 yards, and he realistically can surpass Steve Young (3,577), Kevan Barlow!! (3,614), Hugh McElhenny (4,288) and J.D. Smith (4,370) this season. Hearst is at 5,535, so I suppose Gore could get there with an incredible season...

Norv Turner and the Niners

This link almost makes me think the 49ers offense might be good again within my lifetime. Norv Turner is the perfect match for an offense with a young quarterback and two talented tightends. The offensive line could be greatly improved with free agent signing Larry Allen in the fold along with a healthy Jonas Jennings and Jeremy Newberry. The skill position players are still below...
