After the Miami Dolphins traded for veteran nickelback, Benny Sapp, it was only a matter of time before the team got rid of veteran corner Kevin Hobbs. That is exactly what the team did moments ago, as Hobbs’ services are no longer needed on the team. The team has cut 11 players so far, which means they have nine more players to terminate from the roster. Stay tuned!

Dolphins ink CB Hobbs, re-sign G Feinga (AP)

Cornerback Kevin Hobbs has signed with the Miami Dolphins to replace reserve cornerback Evan Oglesby, who was placed on injured reserve with a left ankle injury. The Dolphins also re-signed guard Ray Feinga and waived receiver Taurus Johnson. Feinga and Hobbs took part in practice Thursday. The Dolphins cut Feinga at the start of training camp two weeks ago.

Hobbs played in all but two games for Detroit last season, forcing one fumble with one pass deflection with 37 tackles on defense and special teams combined.
