KRIS WILSON RUMORS & GOSSIP

Kris Wilson an Unlikely Hero in Sunday’s Win Over Texans

If you would have told me that third-string tight end Kris Wilson would have scored the Ravens’ first touchdown in their first home playoff game in five years, I don’t even know how I would have responded. Well, on a third-and-goal play at the Houston one-yard line in the first quarter of the Ravens’ 20-13 [...]

K.Wilson ends preseason as Ravens' top pass catcher

Kris Wilson continued to outplay Davon Drew for the third tight end spot. In the preseason finale, Wilson had one catch for 18 yards while Drew finished the preseason without a catch. An eight-year veteran, Wilson would provide much-needed experience to the tight end group, which has 2010 draft picks Ed Dickson and Dennis Pitta atop the depth chart. Wilson led the Ravens this preseason...

The Baltimore Ravens sign TE Kris Wilson

The Ravens sign 29-year old TE Kris Wilson.  Wilson played in 14 games (7 starts) for the Chargers last year and he caught 6 passes for 73 yards (12.2 avg).  He has now played in 82 games (30 starts) in his first 7 years in the NFL and he has caught 52 passes for 446 yards (8.6 avg) with 5 TD grabs.  Wilson has always been a decent TE, so he should be able to help out the Ravens in 2011.
