According to Atlanta Journal-Constitution, L.J. Smith is speaking with the Falcons today. L.J. Smith was the starting tight end for the Eagles last season but was plagued with injuries. As the 2009 season starts, he will have 231 career receptions for 2,525 yards and 18 touchdowns...

L.J Smith is a good TE. He isn’t great and I don’t know if I want him signing a free agent contract with my birds. Matt Ryan can use a TE but Smith his coming off of an injury plagued season and if you look at the guys numbers, well let’s just say they aren’t gaudy
