AP source: Leonard Davis joining Lions
A person with knowledge of the agreement says offensive lineman Leonard Davis has reached a deal with the Detroit Lions.
The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Monday because the team has not made an announcement. Davis has started all 155 games he's played in during his 10-year career, but was cut by Dallas before this season, part of a handful of...

Are Lions thinking about Signing Leonard Davis?
The Detroit Lions feel they need to add some depth to their offensive line and according to Jason La Confora they have begin by process by bringing in former Cowboy guard Leonard Davis. At this point they haven’t officially signed Davis to a contract, but I would assume a deal could be done by the end of today or tomorrow if the Lions were serious about having Davis join the Lions...

Cowboys Cut Marion Barber, Leonard Davis, More To Come
The Cowboys have cut right guard Leonard Davis and running back Marion Barber Jr. today according to ESPN.
For those of you who read my posts, the Barber cut should come as no surprise to any of you as he was overpaid and unproductive in my opinion.
Since Barber was given the opportunity for increased playing time after the team cut ties with Julius Jones, Barber’s yards per...

Cowboys Set to Release Right Guard Leonard Davis This Offseason?
There is a strong possibility that the Cowboys could release right guard Leonard Davis this offseason. Davis had a dreadful season in 2010, providing only 2.0 yards per carry through his side of the line.
The three-time Pro Bowler hit an all-time low in Week 5 when he was benched after getting abused by the Tennessee Titans. Davis is signed through 2013, but ESPN Dallas is reporting...

Was Leonard Davis injured or benched?
ARLINGTON - Right guard Leonard Davis is on the Cowboys sideline, having been replaced by Montrae Holland, but he doesn't appear to be hurt.
Considering the Cowboys have given up five sacks, perhaps the Texas alumn was benched.
Davis has been up and down this season. It wouldn't surprised me if he was benched.]]>

Best Cowboys free-agent signings: No. 3 Leonard Davis
No. 3 best: Guard Leonard Davis
The deal: Seven years, $49.6 million, with $18.75 million guaranteed.
Reason he was a good signing: The Cowboys were panned for giving a big deal to Davis. The second overall pick in the 2001 draft, Davis had barely caused a ripple in six listless seasons with Arizona. He was better known for penalties (11 in his final season with the Cardinals...

Davis in Pro Bowl form
DALLAS - Since joining the Cowboys as a free agent after the 2006 season, RG Leonard Davis has been the cornerstone of the offensive line, earning two-straight trips to the Pro Bowl.
On Sunday, the Texas alum made it clear he's determined to play in the all-star game a third-straight time.
"Leonard Davis had one of his best games," coach Wade Phillips said Monday...

Leonard Davis breaks thumb
Leonard Davis showed at Valley Ranch Monday he thought with a jammed right thumb. Turns out it was broken.
He will not need surgery.
Wade Phillips said Davis suffered the injury in the first quarter at Kansas City and did not miss a snap, so it should not keep Davis out of any game action. Even if the Cowboys did not have the bye this weekend, he likely could play.
