Steelers Offensive Tackle Max Starks is scheduled to have surgery on his torn ACL. Starks was injured against the Broncos and did not play in the second half. Starks will be an unrestricted free agent moving forward. This is not good news for Starks as he struggled with weight issues when he injured his neck last season. Steelers LT Max Starks to Have Knee Surgery Next Week
Pittsburgh Steelers left tackle Max Starks announced via Twitter today that he will be having surgery next week presumably to repair a torn ACL in his right knee. Starks injured the knee late in the first half against the Denver Broncos in the AFC Wild Card game last week in Denver and was replaced the rest of the game by Jonathan Scott.

Steelers re-sign veteran OL Max Starks
The Pittsburgh Steelers have re-signed veteran tackle Max Starks to a one-year deal to give the team's battered offensive line some much-needed depth.
The Steelers cut the seven-year veteran in the preseason in a salary cap move. Starks started 68 games with the Steelers between 2004-10 but missed the second half of the 2010 season after suffering a neck injury.
