The New England Patriots waive OLB Shawn Crable
The Patriots have finally waived 25-year old OLB Shawn Crable. Crable was a 3rd round pick of the Patriots in 2008 but he didn’t make it to the field in a regular season game until this year. Crable played in 6 games this year for the Patriots and he had 4 tackles and 1/2 a sack. The Patriots won’t miss Crable at all, period.

This time, the Patriots mean it: Shawn Crable has been released

The 2008 third-round pick, who had a half a sack in the win over the Steelers, is looking for a job once again. He played in six games and had four tackles and a sack.
Crable was released before camp because he failed a physical, making one think his promising career was over...

The mysterious Shawn Crable speaks: “Any role that I get at this point is a bonus for me.”
I spoke to Patriots LB Shawn Crable today. That, in itself, was a step in a positive direction. Since he was cut, then brought back, then promoted, Crable has not done one interview. And yes, I’ve asked.
So today, after Crable had a key pressure in a hybrid nickel defense that helped send his defense off the field late in the Ravens game, Crable broke his silence.
Crable called...

After two failed seasons, Pats linebacker Shawn Crable hoping to make more than an impression this time out
Shawn Crable looks more like an outside linebacker than he did two years ago when he was drafted in the third round by the Patriots. His 6-5, 245-pound body is much more power-packed, with his weight better distributed around that frame.
He says he better look more the part.
”I had two years off. I had a lot of time to eat, lift and get better. So, hopefully this time,...
