Chargers place LB Cooper on IR

The San Diego Chargers placed linebacker Stephen Cooper on injured reserve with a biceps injury. The Chargers also signed linebacker Gerald Hayes to fill the vacated roster spot. Cooper has been playing through a torn muscle this season but decided that surgery was the best course of action to fix the problem. The nine-year veteran had 43 tackles while starting 12 games last season.
