Dolphins Waive Dobbins
In the same week as former Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowded was waived, the front office decided to cut ties with fellow inside linebacker Tim Dobbins.
Dobbins was Crowder’s backup last year, and proved serviceable, coming up with 47 tackles and 1 sack in 6 starts last year.
Dobbins was originally given an extension last year during training camp, but it looks like he&...

Tim Dobbins will get a second change to make a favorable impression as one of the Miami Dolphins’ starting inside linebackers.
Can Tim Dobbins repeat his impressive performance against Oakland?
With Channing Crowder sidelined by a left knee injury it appears Dobbins will be starting Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.

Miami Dolphins: A talk with Tim Dobbins
Tim Dobbins hasn’t practiced since injuring his right ankle on Monday night, and that probably means we won’t see the inside linebacker make his Miami Dolphins debut until the second preseason game at the earliest.
That leaves a window of opportunity for a pair of seventh-round picks at inside linebacker: J.D. Folsom (2009) and Austin Spitler (2010).
Considering the Dolphins...

Tim Dobbins hasn’t even played a single down for the Miami Dolphins, and already the former San Diego Charger is putting down roots.

Dobbins, 27, was acquired in the draft-day trade-down in which the Dolphins moved out of...

Dolphins Sign Dobbins To Two Year Deal
The Miami Dolphins have signed LB Tim Dobbins to a 2 year contract extension. The so-called “throw in” from the Dolphins trade with San Diego during the draft is expected to be anything but.
Dobbins fell out of favors in San Diego and as the old adage goes, “one mans trash is another man’s treasure”. Just ask my 6 year old son who pilfered a perfectly...

Chargers Take Donald Butler With 79th Selection
I had a feeling the Chargers would trade up in the second or third round, and they did not disappoint. Donald Butler will be a fine replacement for Tim Dobbins, who was traded to the Miami Dolphins in a deal that gave us the 12th overall pick. The 2009 Second Team All-Pac-10 interior linebacker is a lot more than just a replacement. The way he attacks the running back will help...
