Kansas City _ Broncos nickel linebacker Wesley Woodyard will not play against the Chiefs because of a knee injury. Woodyard made the trip here and hoped to play but after testing it pregame, it was determined he should wait. With the short week before the Broncos’ next game Thursday against the New York Jets, Woodyard will be iffy until the Nov. 27 game at San Diego.

Woodyard draws crowd of Broncos for charity event
The Broncos were off Tuesday, but Wesley Woodyard put some of them to work.
Woodyard recruited at least a dozen of his teammates to attend his first big charity event in Denver, a dinner at Sullivan’s Steakhouse in LoDo, where the players served as waiters. Proceeds from ticket sales and the silent auction go to Woodyard’s 16 Ways Foundation.

Former Kentucky Wildcats in the Preseason NFL: Wesley Woodyard making the most of his preseason
The Denver "Former Wildcats" scored a 24-10 win over the Buffalo Bills last night and Wesley Woodyard led the Broncos in tackles with 7, 5 of which were solo and the former Cat also deflected a pass.
