Titans DE Hayes fined 15K for hit
Tennessee Titans defensive end William Hayes has been fined $15,000 by the NFL for hit his on Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan.
Hayes was flagged for roughing the passer when he landed on Ryan in the second quarter of a 23-17 loss to Atlanta.
Hayes said he doesn't understand the rule and plans on appealing the penalty.
He has 10 tackles and a pair of sacks in six games this season.

NFL fines Titans DE Hayes $15K for hit
The NFL has fined Titans defensive end William Hayes $15,000 for a hit on Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan, a punishment he plans to appeal.
Hayes said Thursday he was fined for putting too much weight on the quarterback as he hit Ryan. Hayes says he fell to Ryan's side as he hit him trying to avoid just that.
He says he wants to talk to somebody in the NFL to explain the rule...
