49ers waive WR Carswell

The 49ers on Friday waived wide receiver Brandon Carswell, who sustained a torn ACL early in his only practice with the 49ers last offseason. Shortly after signing to the team’s 90-man roster, Carswell sustained his right knee injury in a non-contact drill on June 12. The 49ers waived him shortly thereafter but he reverted back to the 49ers’ injured reserve when he went unclaimed.
