Lions sign CB McDonald
The Detroit Lions signed cornerback Brandon McDonald and released defensive end Keyunta Dawson on Thursday.
McDonald played in 11 games with the Lions before being released earlier this month.
Detroit's secondary is banged up, with Louis Delmas, Aaron Berry and Chris Houston all nursing injuries.

Lions Cut CB Brandon McDonald

It is no surprise that the Lions would look to make a move at defensive tackle considering the suspension to Ndamukong Suh and the aggravation of Nick Fairley’s foot injury. Injury problems in Detroit Lions secondary aren't getting any better
Starters Louis Delmas and Chris Houston missed practice for a second straight day today with knee injuries sustained in last week's Thanksgiving loss to the Green Bay Packers. Backup cornerback Brandon McDonald, who suffered a quad injury in the same game, returned to practice briefly but left during individual drills to work on the side with trainers.
