Safeties Cameron Worrell (2003) and Brandon McGowan (2005) are the only players who participated in the rookie minicamp on a tryout basis to earn a spot on the opening day 53-man roster over the last decade for the Chicago Bears.
It’s funny that the two players are safeties considering how often Lovie Smith has altered his safety rotation since his arrival in Chicago in 2004...
