The San Diego Chargers replenish a banged-up backfield by signing CB Chris Carr to a one-year contract, announced Tuesday.
“Chris is an experienced player,” coach Norv Turner said in a release. “He’s been a starter so he brings experience. He can play in the slot and on the outside. He’s a good addition for us.”

He'll be added to the active roster on Wednesday, when the Chargers will have to make a corresponding move.
Carr has played with the Oakland Raiders, Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens. He was in training camp with the Minnesota Vikings before being released prior to the regular season.
