Seahawks trade for Smith; finalize 53-man roster

The Seattle Seahawks traded an undisclosed future draft choice to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for defensive tackle D’Anthony Smith, pending physical examinations, the team announced Saturday and have reached the NFL-madated 53-man roster limit. Waived WR Phil Bates

On a day known for cuts the Seattle Seahawks executed a trade. The Seahawks announced Saturday they have sent an undisclosed future draft pick to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for defensive tackle D'Anthony Smith. The deal is pending a physical.
