The Houston Texans according to Nick Scurfield, have signed 8 year veteran punter Donnie Jones to a contract to become the punter for the 2012 season. The intial report it is a two-year deal, but the full details of the contract have not been released.
Jones, a former LSU Tiger, broke into the league in 2004 with the Seattle Seahawks, and has spent the last seven seasons...

Free agent punter Donnie Jones has signed a one-year contract with the Houston Texans, Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports reports, financial terms were not disclosed. A seventh round pick out of LSU by the Seattle Seahawks, Jones struggled as a rookie and was shuttled between the team's active roster and practice squad. Rams Sign Ex-USC P Malone As Possible Replacement For Donnie Jones
With P Donnie Jones headed for free agency in March, the Rams signed journeyman P Tom Malone, who has spent time with the 49ers, Patriots and Seahawks. He has never been on an active NFL roster and was last with the Sacramento Mountain Lions of the UFL. Malone was a two-time Ray Guy Award semifinalist while at USC. UCF AD resigns amid recruiting allegations
UCF president John Hitt announced Wednesday that Keith Tribble, the athletic director since 2006, had resigned amid an NCAA investigation into the school's football and basketball programs.
