Lions FS Erik Coleman Had Off-Season Knee Surgery

Chris McCoskyof the Detroit News reports that newly-signed safety is coming off knee surgery. This is the first public mention of any kind of knee procedure for Coleman. There is no word on the severity of the surgery or a timetable for recovery. We can only assume it is not a serious injury or the Lions would not have otherwise re-signed him last month.
