The Arizona Cardinals released linebacker Ernie Sims on Thursday.
The eight-year NFL veteran was signed as a free agent on Dec. 24.
Sims was a first-round draft pick -- ninth overall -- by the Detroit Lions in 2006. He played for the Lions for four seasons, then had stops in Philadelphia, Indianapolis and Dallas.

You know the Cardinals wanted Ernie Sims badly when this is what the team employees did to try and convince him to come here. It looks like they were quite happy to have him in for a meeting.
Obviously not the Arizona Cardinals staff.
We fully think this should be floating over Ernie’s head at all times to make him easier to find on the game film.
