Former Jags QB Byron Leftwich was cut in 2008. Jacksonville hasn’t had a reliable QB since.
What a far cry this team is from the times of Fred Taylor, Ernest Wifork, Byron Leftwich and company. No longer are these the “Cardiac Cats,” a sneaky Jacksonville Jaguars team that could win games late while trusting a stout defense to hold the fort down.

According to Michael Dirocco of ESPN.com, Jaguars DE Jason Babin is willing to renegotiate his contract in order to return to Jacksonville in 2014.
Dirocco mentions that if the two sides are able to figure something out that works for both parties, it would make sense for the Jaguars to bring him back, considering the lack of depth they have at the defensive end position.
