Mike Klis reports that the Washington Redskins have claimed C J.D. Walton off of waivers from the Denver Broncos.
Denver released Walton on Tuesday, which was a bit of a surprising move given that they once saw him as a long-term option at center. That was of course before he suffered a broken ankle back in 2012 and would later have a setback this summer.

The Denver Broncos have placed center J.D. Walton, who has had ankle suregery, on the active/PUP list. Walton, who has had two surgeries, his most recently a month ago, is a possibility to play during the second half of the year.
