A largely overlooked but important piece of the special teams puzzled was resolved today when Justin Drescher, the Saints' current long snapper, was locked up for four years. Saints sign long-snapper Drescher to 4-year deal
The New Orleans Saints have announced signed restricted free agent long snapper Justin Drescher to a four-year contract.
The team made the announcement Wednesday but did not release financial terms of the deal.
Drescher arrived in New Orleans in November of 2010 as a rookie free agent and has played in all 41 games since then, handling snaps on field goals and punts.
