The ball bounced and it bounced and it ricocheted off one guy and then another and when it finally came to rest it was in the hands of Pittsburgh Steelers’ reserve tight end Michael Palmer. The on-sides kick had failed and the Steelers had their fourth victory of the season.
As Head Coach Mike Tomlin has often said, style points do not matter in the NFL and he is absolutely right...
Let’s not put too much lipstick on the pig here because if you take away the three minute barrage by the Steelers to end the first half, they didn’t play all that well. The end didn’t come until the Michael Palmer fell on the Texans’ on-sides kick but finally the Steelers had their win.

I have an update on the one-year contact signed last week by Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Michael Palmer.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced that they have signed TE Michael Palmer to a one-year deal.
Palmer, 26, spent the first three years of his career with Atlanta before joining the Steelers in 2013.
The Clemson product is a blocking specialist, making only one catch last season for 8 yards.
Today the Pittsburgh Steelers signed a quality depth player in Michael Palmer. Palmer played his college ball at Clemson and will be a depth guy behind Miller, Spaeth and Paulson. @MarkKaboly_Trib: #Steelers sign TE Michael Palmer to one-year deal. Provides depth behind Miller, Spaeth, Paulson.
