According to Paul Dehner Jr. of the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Bengals have signed second-year P T.J. Conley.
Conley, 28, is best known for his 2011 season in which he was the starting punter for the Jets. That year he averaged a fairly impressive 42.7 yards per punt, with a net of 38.8.
Since then, he has been in training camp with the Browns in 2012, but was out of football in 2013.
The Cleveland Browns today waived punter T.J. Conley. That leaves Spencer Lanning as the only punter on the roster.
In two preseason games, Lanning has punted eight times and averages 45.8 yards per punt. His longest kick so far is 55 yards, and he has had three punts downed inside the 20 yard line.
Conley punted twice, averaging 40 yards per punt.

The Jets waived punter T.J. Conley and reportedly signed former Chargers punter Bob Malone. Newsday reported the Jets signed Malone, who punted 20 times in the preseason for the Chargers, averaging 39.9 yards net with a 44.8-yard gross.
