Rangers Danger:
The beginning of March did not start off on the right foot, as the Rangers dropped their second straight game Tuesday night against the Buffalo Sabres, 3-2. One of the only good moments for New York was defenseman Bryan McCabe getting his first point with the team. Other than that, just another head-shaker for Blueshirts Nation.
Once again, the Rangers fell into an early deficit when reigning Calder winner Tyler Myers blasted a power-play goal past a Thomas Vanek screen and goalie Henrik Lundqvist with 2:45 left in the first period. Their penalty kill, which has been strong all year, allowed another goal in the middle of the second period, the first by Brad Boyes in a Sabres uniform. This is probably due to All-Star defenseman Marc Staal missing another game with an injury suffered against Carolina.
