Rangers Danger:
The Rangers came into Sunday’s nationally televised game losers of all four meetings against their scheduled opponent, the Philadelphia Flyers. New York also recently lost three straight games at home in the span of a week. Philly was also in a little murky situation, losing three straight games overall entering the game, making people wonder if they’re losing focus. Something had to give.
New York dominated Philadelphia from start to finish as they won their third 7-0 game of the year. The media might as well call this game The Ryan Callahan Show, getting his first career hat-trick en-route to a four goal game with an assist just for good measure. Callahan didn’t take long for his opening act, scoring 51 seconds into the contest and energizing a Garden crowd that has been next to dead over the past few home games.
