Much like the Stars much publicized back-to-back troubles of the past couple of seasons, the Wild also have a dubious losing streak of their own. In the past 10 years (10!), the Wild have gone 0-11-5 against the Stars in Dallas.
Throw in their road troubles as a whole this season and, despite how much the Wild have improved, the Stars really shouldn’t feel like they’re on the ropes tonight.
Minnesota has won five games in a row and seven of their last eight. Three of those have been on the road. Those three road wins got their road record this season back to 7-7-1 though.
Things have just been clicking for Minnesota. Niklas Backstrom is playing his best hockey of the season and has allowed three or more goals in only t...

MONDAY'S STORYLINES: Mike Rupp, who has missed the last 3 games with a lower body injury, will be back in the lineup and on the fourth line with Torrey Mitchell and Zenon Konopka. The streaking Pittsburgh Penguins acquired forward Brenden Morrow from the Dallas Stars on Sunday to bolster the team's second line.
Pittsburgh sent defenseman Joe Morrow, the team's first-round pick in the 2011 draft, and a fifth-round choice this year to Dallas in exchange for Morrow and the Stars' third-round pick in the draft.
The 34-year-old Morrow has 243 goals...
According to multiple media outlets, Dallas Stars captain Brenden Morrow has waived his no-trade clause and agreed to a trade to the Pittsburgh Penguins. The 34-year-old power forward, who has six goals and 11 points in 29 games this season, had spent his entire professional career in the Stars' organization.
Morrow was slowed last year by lingering neck and shoulder injuries...
Ray Shero stood pat last year. He doesn't appear to be this season. There is a deal in place for Brendan Morrow.
Via Darren Dreger:
If Morrow waives his NMC, the Pens will apparently deal prospect Joe Morrow.
While that price may seem high, this deal makes unlimited sense.
1. Morrow is a playoff performer. Great read earlier this week from Puck Daddy on Morrow...
