**** you Ottawa. Aint nobody got time for you when a game against the Pittsburgh Penguins is in the not so distant future. Alas, the Bruins playing the Senators tonight is like the salad before the filet minon that is the Penguins, especially with Pittsburgh putting up 6 on the Islanders. But here we are, Boston is in Ottawa to take on the 6th place Senators.  If you look at the conference standings, the Northeast Division currently holds four (1, 4, 5, 6) of the eight playoff spots, which means the rest of the Eastern Conference should get on their level. It's pretty amazing to see, especially with Toronto holding the 5th spot looking for their first playoff berth since 2004.  It's tough to write a preview about the Ottawa Senators because there's not that much of a rivalry to get pissed off about. The Senators are like your little cousin who comes over and wants to hang out with you and your friends. He's not really doing anything wrong, but you ...

Kaspars Daugavins makes crazy shootout attempt against Bruins (Video)

Ottawa Senators forward Kaspars Daugavins had a crazy shootout attempt Monday night against the Boston Bruins where he skated towards the goal with the nose of his blade on top of the puck and pulled a 360 spin-o-rama. Unfortunately, Daugavins couldn't get the puck between Bruins goalie Tuukku Rask's pad and the post. The Bruins scored on their next attempt and won...

Chris Neil Nails Chris Kelly With Knee-on-Knee Hit in Bruins’ Win Over Senators (Video)

As far as dirty hits go, the jury is out on this one. But let’s examine the evidence, and note that the on-ice judges did not give Ottawa’s Chris Neil any penalty minutes after he collided with Chris Kelly. Neil smashed Kelly with a knee-on-knee hit in Monday night’s Bruins-Senators matchup, sending Kelly out of the game. Coach Claude Julien did not give an update on Kelly’s...

Andrew Ference Named to 2013 Most Stylish Bostonians List

Last year it was Brad Marchand who was named to the Most Stylish Bostonian's list. This year it's good old Alternate Captain Planet Andrew Ference. Remember, recylcing is fashionable. From Boston.com: What do you wear on the weekends?  Honestly, a lot of the things I wear are because I grew up as a punk, skateboard, snowboarding kid. I still buy Volcom...

Claude Julien Moves Into Tie With Milt Schmidt For Second on Bruins’ All-Time Wins List (Video)

Bruins head coach Claude Julien joined some elite company when his team defeated the Senators in a shootout Monday night. The win was Julien’s 245th behind the Bruins bench, tying him for second place on the team’s all-time wins list (the man he’s now tied with, Milt Schmidt, has his number hanging from the rafters at TD Garden). NESN’s Naoko Funayama caught up with the B’s...

Keys To The Game Vs. Ottawa

The Bruins are coming off of a impressive win over the Flyers in a very lack luster Bruins vs Flyers game. The Bruins shutout the Flyers 3-0 in the matinee hockey game. Pialle, Seguin, and Kelly all scored goals in the game. Kellys goal came at a time when his line was struggling. With Jordan Caron back in the lineup the line is +1 and one goal in one game. While Caron might...

RECAP: Thornton Saves Us All. BRUINS WIN!

You know Bruins, you really should learn to show up from the start for these important division games. Look, we know you're very generous and you like to spot overrated teams a couple of goals to boost their self esteem but you can't keep doing this. Though seriously, we do admire your heart to come back from all these deficits. Great practice for the playoffs...

24. Boston Bruins at Pittsburgh Penguins. NO MALKIN? NO MERCY!

Man, that banner is like a sleek Accelerator jersey. Black on black baby. Bruins come into Pittsburgh on a three game winning streak after a shootout win against the Senators where Boston comes back from 2 down. It was a tough game for Boston, which doesn't bode well for their legs against the Pens. The only thing that helps Boston is that Malkin is back in Russia...

Bruins-Senators Preview

Having rebounded from a brief lull, the Boston Bruins will try to add to their momentum by continuing their recent dominance over the injury-plagued Ottawa Senators. The Bruins seek a 10th straight victory in Ottawa and an 11th in 12 overall meetings Monday night while trying to end the Senators' five-game home win streak. Boston dropped back-to-back games for only the second...
