For the first time in awhile, Philly residents had to brush snow off their cars before commuting home today, probably in weather-related traffic. As if according to plan, the Flyers host the Avalanche tonight at the Wachovia Center, where the home team will try to remain one of the NHL's two hottest teams. Only the Bruins have equaled the Flyers' run in the last month, and they've been damn near perfect. In their last 16 games, the Flyers are 12-1-3, and the Bruins are an amazing 13-2-1.

Final Thoughts @ Montreal (12-18-08)
It’s a long season, and you’re not going to win every game. But the Flyers might have given this one away. They started slow and spotted the Canadiens a 3-0 lead before climbing back into the game with a late goal in the first period. They had way too many defensive lapses. And, they failed ...

Up Next for Flyers: Les Habitants
With four consecutive home wins in their recent past, the Flyers begin a checkerboard home & away schedule tonight in one of the greatest hockey cities in the world, Montreal.
