Atlantic Division 2008 Free Agency Preview

What will the New Jersey Devils, New York Islanders, New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers and Pittsburgh Penguins be up to come July 1st? Will the Flyers be able to keep their young talent? How many players will the Penguins manage to keep in tow? Who will the Rangers overpay this year? Will the Devils finally find some offense?

Islanders r gonna go crazy this year

Yeah, the Flyers aren't nearly as bad with cap space as stated in that article. They have the room to sign back at least two of the three Restricteds easily. Most likely all three will be back. And they'll add another defenseman.

Patrick Elias is not performing to his paycheck, regardless of market speculation. The devils need to replace him fast, as well as getting their future goaltender into the system, whomever that may be. In this new NHL I don't believe Pando and Madden can be as valuable as they used to be. The devils need to to pick up atleast one big blue liner and a big time scorer. Elias' paychek could easily be put towards more goals that will be waiting on free agency come July 1st.
