What kind of responsible businessman would seriously consider accepting an offer that is almost $40 million LESS than the one currently on the table? Not to mention one that is led by a guy named 'Boots'?

to put it in plain English, Balsillie is a total moron. If he'd kept his big mouth shut and perhaps waited until the deal had gone through before his asinine stunt of collecting money for season tickets in Hamilton, he may have had a chance. As for supporting a team in Hamilton, it would last theree years tops and then go belly up. The city has had a chance to show it could support major league hockey by filling the rink for the Bulldogs, but that only happened during the Calder Cup final. For interest sake take this poll: ask all of your friends how many Leafs games they attended this year. I'm sure you'll be surprised at how few games they went to for the simple fact of the price. It's corporations in Toronto that fill up the ACC not the fans. The same fans who aren't willing to pay $150 per ticket to a Leaf game aren't going to ante up the same cash to drive the same distance to Hamilton. If the league is better off with teams in the US, then so be it. The babies around here, including Balsillie, should just face the facts that this isn't a major market. Now a second team in Toronto would actually fare better as the corporate money is there. This RIM dick reminds me of a spoiled little rich kid who takes his ball home when he can't get his own way. For the good of the NHL I hope Richie Rich takes a shine to some other sport soon the twat. I wouldn't sell him a team either, even if he did offer more money for the simple fact he's a fool.
