Tampa Bay Lightning General Manager Jay Feaster shot down the earlier report today about a trade involving his center Brad Richards with those teams that have the high first round draft pick (i.e. Phoenix, Chicago, Philadelphia).
Richards is not going anywhere and Feaster is trying to get players to play with him in Tampa Bay.
Therefore, Brad Richards will be in a Lightning sweater next season.

League sources tell the Ottawa Sun that Tampa Bay's Brad Richards is being shopped as of this draft weekend. This could be in large part true due to the signing of centre Chris Gratton last week. GM Jay Feaster knows that he has cap trouble with both Vincent Lecavalier, Martin St.Louis, Richards and Dan Boyle, and getting rid of him will be huge. But to where?

The Phoenix Coyotes take their third pick and select Kyle Turris.
They chose not to trade up but it was clear (albeit after the fact) that the Coyotes wanted Turris from the outset.
I think they picked a solid guy, in both of playing ability and attitude. From the articles I've linked to and read, Turris will be an impact and character player. Plus, he doesn't take...

It seems that Phoenix Coytoes General Manager Don Maloney and the scouting staff think there is a player that can impact the organization right away, or that there is player that if they waited, may no longer be available.
So the rumor is that they might offer a Coyotes player for the number one pick from the Chicago Blackhawks.

Wayne Gretzky was interviewed yesterday by CTV's eTalk about his thoughts regarding the Nashville Predators potential sale and relocation to Southern Ontario.
